Join us for Spirits with the Spirits: A night of cocktails and ghost hunting at the Historic Piper’s Opera House! About this event: SPIRITS WITH THE SPIRITS Step inside one of Nevada’s most historic and haunted landmarks for an evening of cocktails, history and paranormal exploration at Piper’s Opera House. Join legendary Reno bartender Joe Shapiro and special co-host, tequila expert ILona Lo Smith, for a unique experience that blends spirited storytelling with hands-on ghost hunting. Doors open at 5 p.m., giving guests time to enjoy complimentary tequila samples, snacks and water, purchase raffle tickets for prizes donated by local businesses, and rent EVP equipment for the evening’s paranormal investigation. The program begins at 6 p.m. with complimentary cocktails as guests learn about the rich history of Piper’s Opera House and the legends of the spirits said to still roam its halls. At 7 p.m., the lights go out as participants have the opportunity to explore the theater’s haunted spaces, use EVP equipment and capture photos in search of paranormal activity.
