    Virginia City Beautification Day May 6th (New date!)

    Volunteer and celebrate Virginia City's heritage

    Description
    Join us for Beautification Day in Virginia City May 6th (new date!) and help preserve Virginia City's history. Sign up to volunteer and help clean, improve, and beautify the Virginia City Historic District. Get your hands a little dirty and feel good knowing you are helping keep one of America's great historic cities maintained, from the historic boardwalks to the legendary buildings.

    Thanks to our generous sponsors, the Storey County Chamber of Commerce will provide the necessary paint, flowers, and bins to complete the projects. We're asking our volunteers to bring standard tools, paint brushes, and gloves.

    What is Beautification Day? 
    On Beautification Day members of the community join together and volunteer their time to clean and make improvements to the Virginia City Historic District.

    • Wash boardwalk
    • Pick up trash
    • Pull weeds

    Volunteer Appreciation Party

    Join us afterward for a special Volunteer Appreciation Party, proudly sponsored and hosted by Spite House Picture Gallery and Framing, 55 N. C Street.


    Where do volunteers meet?

    Volunteers will meet at Firehouse Saloon on C Street at 4:00 pm and help beautify our streets until 7:30 pm.

    What should volunteers wear? 

    Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. Bring gloves if you have them and closed-toe shoes.

    Do volunteers need to RSVP? 

    Yes, volunteers should complete the form below to sign up to volunteer. Having a list of volunteers helps event organizers manage resources and make the most of everyone's time.
