Coming Soon: Deals & Deliverables for Chambers, Main Streets, Tourism, and Local Media Teams

Deals track opportunities. Deliverables track commitments.

Small community and local media teams are expected to keep a lot moving.

Recruit and retain members. Support local businesses. Plan events. Sell and fulfill sponsorships or advertising. Follow up with prospects. Onboard new members, advertisers, and partners all without scattered spreadsheets, hundreds of sticky notes, or unmanageable email threads.

We’re excited to preview an upcoming upgrade to Locable’s Administrative Efficiency Core: Deals and Deliverables.

These new tools are designed to help Chambers of Commerce, Main Streets and Downtowns, Tourism organizations, local media companies, and other community-focused teams track opportunities, commitments, follow-ups, due dates, and progress without adding unnecessary complexity.

The goal is simple:

Spend less time chasing tasks at your computer and more time supporting your members, advertisers, businesses, and community.

Why Deals & Deliverables?

Over the years, we've heard many variations of the same challenges:

  • "I always feel like things are slipping through the cracks"
"We need a better way to track prospective members, advertisers, sponsors, and partners."
  • "We have a process, but it isn't always followed consistently."
  • "We need to make sure sponsor and advertiser commitments actually get fulfilled."
  • "Only one person knows where things stand."
  • "We need an easier way to demonstrate the value we're delivering."

These aren't abstract project management problems. They're everyday operational challenges faced by Chambers, Main Streets, Tourism organizations, local media companies, and other small community-focused teams.

A missed follow-up can mean a missed member, advertiser, sponsor, or opportunity.

An incomplete onboarding process can lead to lower engagement and weaker retention.

An overlooked commitment can damage trust and make it harder to demonstrate value.

And when important information lives in spreadsheets, email threads, sticky notes, or someone's memory, it becomes harder to keep work moving forward consistently.

Deals and Deliverables are designed to make that work more visible, repeatable, accountable, and easier to complete.

Deals: Track Opportunities and Follow-Ups

Deals help you track opportunities that move through stages, from early interest to a clear outcome.

Examples include:

  • Prospective members
  • Sponsorship opportunities
  • Advertising opportunities
  • Renewals
  • Partnerships
  • Vendors or program participants

A Deal gives your team a simple way to track who you're talking to, where things stand, the estimated value, priority, notes, and follow-up activity.

This is especially useful because not every business or organization in your CRM is an active opportunity.

Instead of treating every non-member, past advertiser, or community contact as something that needs immediate attention, you can focus on the businesses and organizations that have shown interest, been referred, attended an event, requested information, opened a conversation, or otherwise deserve active follow-up.

Deliverables: Track Commitments and Workflows

Deliverables help you track commitments, projects, and recurring workflows that need to be completed.

Unlike Deals, which move through stages, Deliverables are built around tasks, due dates, assignments, comments, and progress tracking.

Examples include:

  • New member onboarding
  • Event planning
  • Sponsorship or advertising fulfillment
  • Member, advertiser, or business spotlights
  • Ribbon cuttings and grand openings
  • Volunteer onboarding
  • Board and committee initiatives
  • Internal projects and strategic priorities

Each Deliverable can include multiple tasks with their own assignments, due dates, status updates, and notes.

For example, a New Member Onboarding Deliverable might include welcoming the member, completing their profile, launching visibility opportunities, facilitating introductions, highlighting their story, and scheduling follow-up check-ins.

An Event Planning Deliverable might include securing vendors and sponsors, creating registration and promotional materials, coordinating volunteers, and managing post-event follow-up.

The goal isn't to create more work. The goal is to make sure important commitments don't fall through the cracks.

Deliverables also help make the work behind the scenes more visible. When your organization welcomes a member, fulfills a sponsor benefit, publishes a business spotlight, coordinates an event, or supports a local initiative, that effort deserves to be tracked and recognized.

This visibility can help with staff accountability, board reporting, member retention, sponsor fulfillment, volunteer coordination, and organizational continuity when responsibilities change hands.

Most importantly, Deliverables help organizations consistently deliver value. Whether you're serving members, advertisers, sponsors, local businesses, visitors, or your community as a whole, Deliverables provide a simple framework for turning good intentions into completed commitments.

Built for the Way Small Community Teams Actually Work

Deals and Deliverables are being designed around the questions small teams ask every day:

  • What needs attention?
  • What's due next?
  • Who owns the next step?
  • What has already been completed?
  • What commitments are still open?
  • Where are we stuck?

Whether you're onboarding a new member, planning an event, fulfilling a sponsorship package, managing an advertiser relationship, or coordinating an internal project, the goal is to make it easier to see what's happening and keep work moving forward.

Over time, we plan to add templates, playbooks, and other time-saving tools that help organizations start faster, stay organized, and avoid rebuilding the same processes over and over again.

Because the less time your team spends figuring out what needs to happen next, the more time you can spend creating value for your members, advertisers, businesses, and community.

Beta Access Next Week

We’re preparing to open a short beta period for Deals and Deliverables before making the upgrade generally available a few weeks later.

The beta will help us gather feedback from real-world use, make rapid refinements, and identify where the tools can become even more valuable before broader release.

Beta participation will be available to active Locable customers with the Administrative Efficiency Core.

For Locable Customers
